Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Khaled El-Darandali, President of Zagazig University, and Prof. Dr. Hilal Afifi, Vice President for Education and Students Affairs, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Zagazig University organized on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, an extensive awareness seminar titled “No to Drugs… Yes to Life”.
The event was held under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Nasr Abdel Wahab Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty, and in cooperation with Al-Azeema Center for Rehabilitation and Addiction Treatment at Zagazig University.
The seminar was attended by Prof. Dr. Salah Fathy Abdel Aal, Vice Dean for Education and Students Affairs, along with faculty students, the Students’ Union, and members of For Egypt student family, under the supervision of the Director of Student Welfare, Ms. Eman Abu El-Khair.
The seminar was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ghada Salah El-Din, Professor of Psychiatry and Addiction Treatment at the Faculty of Medicine, who presented a scientific lecture addressing the dangers of drug abuse on physical and mental health, its impact on cognitive abilities, academic and professional performance, as well as the social consequences that threaten family cohesion and community stability.
She also discussed the national efforts exerted by the Egyptian state in combating addiction through awareness campaigns and initiatives supporting recovery, praising the specialized role of Al-Azeema Center in providing treatment services
